What UV Printing Can Do That Engraving Cannot
Laser engraving produces a permanent, precise mark in the material itself, but the result is monochrome. The color of the mark is the color of the underlying material exposed by the laser.
UV printing adds full color. Photographs, complex logos with gradients, and multi-color brand marks all reproduce accurately across a wide range of surfaces. Where engraving is limited to one tone, UV printing lays down the full color palette of the original artwork.
The two processes are complementary. Many corporate programs use both: laser engraving for a personalized name, and UV printing for the full-color logo on the same product.

UV Transfer Printing
For surfaces that are too curved or irregular for direct UV printing, etchXpress offers UV transfer printing. The design is printed onto a transfer film and applied to the surface, similar in concept to a high-quality decal, but with UV-cured ink that bonds to the surface.
UV transfer printing works on more complex shapes, rounded surfaces, and materials that direct UV printing cannot reach.
No minimums
